CROWDFUNDING
CAMPAIGNS

Crowdfunding through international platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo is a unique marketing tool, which enables entrepreneurs to bring a product into the world even if the financial means at their disposal are limited. The bad news is that only 1 in 3 crowdfunding campaigns (in product design) will succeed. The other two will fail. The reason is that in-depth and very broad professional knowledge is required in order to plan and carry out such a campaign.

 

As part of my work at Miggo, the start-up where I served as Co-Founder and VP Marketing, I personally led 6 crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo platforms, where we launched new products. All 6 campaigns met their target and some even exceeded their funding goal by hundreds of percent.

Success included:

  • Advance sale of the company's new products for a total of about $1.5 million!

  • Created a large cash flow for the company, even before beginning production of the products themselves.

  • Possibility to sell our products at a large profit - without intermediaries.

  • Vast exposure of the brand and the new products to the consumer audience - as a by-product of successful campaigns.

  • Very high exposure to business customers (B2B) that allowed us to expand our global distribution network.

  • Created media buzz - at almost no cost.

  • Ability to get real feedback from consumers even before production began.

 

My involvement in all 6 campaigns included full responsibility for the strategic part, developing and managing the campaign's creative process, creating the scripts and actual production of the films, producing all necessary marketing materials, working with photographers and writers, working with advertising agencies (sponsored advertising), public relations management and management of the campaign itself from start to successful end.
